Hotep Nubians!!!
I just wanted 2 take a minute of your time 2 get some feedback on a question that I have.
I am once again ready 4 the next step n my personal evolution...I am truly ready 2 loc my hair. the question that I have is: If I want my eventual locs 2 b the thickness of a pencil (or just a lil' thicker) and I am startin' the journey wit' 2 strand twists...should the twists b the same size or smaller than the thickness of a pencil? I am askin' the question b/c some 1 told me that the final locs will b thicker than the 2 strand twist I started them with.
I tried 2 begin this journey about 8 months ago (when my hair was alot shorter) with comb coils and when it hadn't loc'd n 8 months I just sort o' gave up and start'd braidin' it. But, after braidin' it n various different styles...I really am ready 2 start the jurney anew. I now understand that this journey will require determination and patience (and I will admit that I haven't been known 4 havin' alot of patience...lol).
That is y I decided 2 post my question b/c this is somethin' that I want...from a spiritual level. I want my journey 2 begin the right way...b/c there will b no goin' back this time...lol...sin duda!!!
Anyway, I would appreciate any and all responses on the subject...help a young brotha seekin' some knowledge out...lol!!!
