Do you have problems with teenagers and your hair? I go to a govenor's school and everyone there is artistic and open minded. I recently enrolled in summer school at my home school (school I'm supposed to attend) and we were talking about box braids. I said the first time I had box braids was my last(transitioning) and this girl... get ready for this ...said, "...because then you got those nasty dreads!"
... and walked away! I never faced ridicule like this except in middle school when I first cut off all of my relaxed hair (one girl said what happened)
. I'm very lucky to go to school with wonderful people.
I guess this prepared me for being with different people in different enviroments. Any body else have any problems or stories they would like to share? feel free
